3-320TH
FIELD ARTILLERY
I was granted the unique opportunity of redesigning the 3-320th Field Artillery's logo. My cousin-in-law had just become captain of the unit and was looking to rebrand its logo. He asked that I incorporate three elements: a cobra, the torrii gate, and artillery guns.
Pictured below is my process from sketch to final product. Like most of my designs, it starts with a pencil sketch in my notebook which I then scan and bring onto my iPad. On Procreate, I continue playing around with the design until I have a rough sketch of what I want the final design to look like. After confirming with Mike, I brought the Procreate sketch into Adobe Illustrator. Here is where the magic happens. Using vectors, I create an infinitely scalable logo with a variety of color schemes and versions. Vectors allow my designs to be used in any form, in this case, it was used as the artillery's challenge coin.
